STATESBORO – All 32 NFL squads have opened preseason camp, meaning that everyone is now officially beginning preparations for the upcoming 2025 season. They are training for the long road that culminates in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 8, 2026 for Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium.

Georgia Southern will once again have a strong presence in the League as seven former Eagle players are in camp. Here’s a list of all seven, where their training camp is going on, as well as their preseason schedule.

Darrell Baker Jr., CB
Tennessee Titans: Ascension Saint Thomas Park, Nashville, Tenn.

Game 1: at Tampa Bay, Saturday, Aug. 9
Game 2: at Atlanta, Friday, Aug. 15
Game 3: vs. Minnesota, Friday, Aug. 22
Briefly: Baker Jr. was waived by Indianapolis last August and quickly signed with Tennessee, where he played all 17 games during the 2024 season, including nine starts. He finished with 40 tackles and five pass deflections. On March 11, 2025, Baker Jr. signed a one-year contract extension with the Titans.

Shemar Bartholomew, CB
Carolina Panthers: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, N.C.

Game 1: vs. Cleveland, Friday, Aug. 8
Game 2: at Houston, Saturday, Aug. 16
Game 3: vs. Pittsburgh, Thursday, Aug. 21
Briefly: Bartholomew was signed as an undrafted free agent after his standout year by the Jets, but was waived in August after camp. He played in five games with Carolina, recording three tackles and two pass breakups.

Tyler Bass, K
Buffalo Bills: St. John Fisher University, Rochester, N.Y.

Game 1: vs. New York Giants, Saturday, Aug. 9
Game 2: at Chicago, Sunday, Aug. 17
Game 3: at Tampa Bay, Saturday Aug. 23
Briefly: Bass is firmly entrenched as the Bills’ kicker after five standout seasons with the Bills. He signed a multi-year extension prior to 2023.

Raymond Johnson III, DE
Cincinnati Bengals: Kettering Health Practice Fields, Cincinnati, Ohio

Game 1: at Philadelphia, Thursday, Aug. 7
Game 2: at Washington, Monday, Aug. 18
Game 3: vs. Indianapolis, Saturday, Aug. 23
Briefly: Johnson III has spent the past two years on and off practice squads in Cincinnati and Detroit and will look to make the main roster this year after signing with the Bengals again this offseason. He will once again have to prove himself in hopes of making the Super Bowl contenders.

Younghoe Koo, K
Atlanta Falcons: IBM Performance Field, Flowery Branch, Ga.

Game 1: vs. Detroit, Friday, Aug. 8
Game 2: vs. Tennessee, Friday, Aug. 15
Game 3: at Dallas, Friday, Aug. 22
Briefly: Koo missed the end of the 2024 season with an injury, but is back healthy and looking to hold onto his job with the Falcons.

Kindle Vildor, CB
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: AdventHealth Training Center, Tampa, Fla.

Game 1: vs. Tennessee, Saturday, Aug. 9
Game 2: at Pittsburgh, Saturday, Aug. 16
Game 3: vs. Buffalo, Saturday Aug. 23
Briefly: Vildor re-signed with the Lions prior ro last season and played in 17 games with two starts. He had 16 tackles and three pass breakups. On March 13, 2025, Vildor signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a one-year contract.

Jalen White, RB
Green Bay Packers: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisc.

Game 1: vs. New York Jets, Saturday, Aug. 9
Game 2: at Indianapolis, Saturday, Aug. 16
Game 3: vs. Seattle, Saturday, Aug. 23
Briefly: White signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent after the Draft.

Additionally, NaJee Thompson will be looking for a call from a team. After missing last year with a knee injury, Thompson was released by Minnesota this offseason. The special teams ace shined for the Vikings in 2023 and had a tryout with the Arizona Cardinlas on Wednesday.

Clubs are allowed to carry a 90-man roster to begin camp. Rosters must be cut down to 53 players prior to 4 p.m., New York time, on Aug. 26. Simultaneously with the cut-down to 53, clubs that have players in the categories of Active/Physically Unable to Perform or Active/Non-Football Injury or Illness must select one of the following options: place player on Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform or Reserve/Non-Football Injury or Illness, whichever is applicable; request waivers; terminate contract; trade contract; or continue to count the player on the Active List. Teams may continue to make moves after the initial roster of 53 is determined.
