Youngstown State placed 166 student-athletes on the fall 2024 semester Horizon League Honor Roll, the conference announced on Thursday.
A total of 1,332 student-athletes from all 11 member schools, four affiliate members and all 19 League sports are represented on the list.
YSU placed the most student-athletes with 166, with Milwaukee coming in second with 154, and Northern Kentucky right behind with 136 to finish third.
Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify:
1) Participation in at least one of the League’s 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season.
2) Completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution.
3) A cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
With 201 student-athletes on the honor roll, women’s cross country/track & field had the highest representation among the League’s 19 sports. Women’s soccer and men’s cross country/track & field round out the top three with 189 and 127 honorees, respectively.
