From Super Bowl Great Dan Hampton…
“So in 1984, Mike Ditka has the brilliant idea, training camp isn’t brutal enough, we have to go out in the middle of nowhere, Platteville, Wisconsin, in the corn fields where it’s 96 degrees and hot in 2% humidity and the conditioning aspects became unbelievably critical. And every day in camp, you’d see guys go down with you know, with cramps and dehydration issues.
In training camp, we would drink water, water, water, water. But again, that wasn’t enough. This product would have been so, so much more beneficial than just drinking pure water. But at the time, we didn’t know any better.”
