Interviewed after the game by Fox’s Erin Andrews, Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts praised his team for getting them over the hump after losing to Kansas City in the big game two years prior.
“God is good and he is greater than all of the highs and the lows,” Hurts said. “I think for me personally, I have been able to take all of my experiences and learn from it, the good and the bad, and being able to use it as fuel, to pursue my own destiny. I couldn’t do this without any of the guys around me, we got a special group, we were able to learn from the past, and we got some good pieces to get over that hump.
“Defense wins championships,” Hurts said. “We saw the difference they made and the opportunities they gave us on a short field and we were able to do what we do.”
