UFC middleweight Gregory ‘Robocop’ Rodrigues is must-see TV. The Brazilian terminator has been tearing up his competition in the UFC with savage intentions.

‘G-Rod’ is flying under the radar for many MMA fans, as he suffered setbacks in his earlier UFC career that halted his momentum. Now, he gears up for his first crack at the UFC rankings when he takes on Jared Cannonier in the main event of UFC Vegas 102 on February 15, 2025.

Gregory Rodrigues age, weight, and height

Rodrigues will turn 33 on February 17, 2025. He competes at 185 lbs in the middleweight division and is listed as six foot three inches tall. Rodrigues is taller for MMA middleweight and has a registered reach of 75 inches.

What is Gregory Rodrigues’ MMA record?

As of February 11, 2025, Rodrigues is 16-5-0 in professional MMA, with a UFC record of 7-2. He has nine wins by knockout, four by submission, and three by decision.

‘Robocop’ debuted in the UFC in June 2021, shortly after winning the LFA middleweight belt with a knockout victory over future UFC fighter Josh Fremd. In his debut, he fought perennial contender Dusko Todorovic to a decision before knocking out Jun Yong Park in his next fight.

Entering his fight with No. 7 Cannonier, Rodrigues is unranked as a middleweight in the UFC.

Gregory Rodrigues MMA losses

Rodrigues has five losses in MMA, three of which came in the UFC. Rodrigues was knocked out in his professional debut by now-14-1 Bruno Lopes – who graduated from Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) in 2024 and debuted with a win over Magomed Gadzhiyasulov at UFC Saudi Arabia in January 2025.

Rodrigues then lost his third fight by split decision before going on a six-fight winning streak to secure his spot on DWCS. Here, he was knocked out by future welterweight journeyman Jordan Williams. Rodrigues secured the LFA middleweight title before being invited back to the UFC.

Making the most of his second chance, Rodrigues secured victories over Todorovic and Park before dropping a contentious split decision to Arman Petrosyan. Ten of 14 media members scored the fight in favor of Rodrigues, as did 70 percent of the 188 fans who submitted their scores on MMA Decisions.

Rodrigues recouped with back-to-back performances of the night, winning fights against Julian Marquez and Chidi Njokuani. In his battle with Njokuani, Rodrigues suffered one of the nastiest injuries in UFC history but stayed dogged enough to pull off a round two TKO.

Rodrigues remarked, ‘I have three eyebrows’ about his cut after the fight.

‘G-Rod’s’ biggest setback was his next fight against debutant Brunno Ferreira, who knocked out Rodrigues with a left hand late in the first round. Rodrigues hasn’t lost since.

Gregory Rodrigues vs. Christian Leroy Duncan

Rodrigues most recently defeated Britain’s Christian Leroy Duncan at UFC 304 in July 2024. The fight was near even according to bookies, but Rodrigues mauled ‘CLD’ from pillar to post, bloodying Duncan to secure a unanimous decision. Before the event, UFC CEO Dana White called Rodrigues-Duncan a ‘must-watch prelim.’

This victory over Duncan capped off Rodrigues’ current three-fight winning streak, which he carries into his fight with Cannonier.
