As we get ready for Super Bowl LIX, 30 teams in the league are already focused on the draft. Let’s take a look at what player teams could add in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

2025 NFL Mock Draft

The biggest news of the week revolves around Myles Garrett requesting a trade as he wants out of Cleveland. The Browns now have to think about replacing him along with a less-than-ideal quarterback situation. Let’s take a look at another 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

1. Titans – Abdul Carter (Edge, Penn State)

The Titans said they will entertain potential trades for the top pick in the draft but president Chad Brinker also said they will not pass on a generational talent. Abdul Carter was dominant in 2024 with 12 sacks and an FBS-best edge pressure percentage of 19.6%. The Titans could easily go with him instead of adding quarterback Cam Ward at the top of the draft.

2. Browns – Travis Hunter (WR/CB, Colorado)

The Browns have questions at quarterback but there is so much money tied up there that they might look past quarterback on draft day in round 1. They can add the most dynamic player in the draft in Travis Hunter who is elite on both sides of the football. He’s a rare talent that is great at wide receiver or cornerback. The Browns could use his skills at either position.

3. Giants – Cam Ward (QB, Miami FL)

Cam Ward got better each year during his college career and showed he could make every throw. He’s also great at moving around the pocket to extend plays which is something the Giants desperately need. New York can’t pass on a quarterback after cutting Daniel Jones. Cam Ward is a solid option and will have a top wideout right off the bat with Malik Nabers.

4. Patriots – Josh Simmons (OT, Ohio State)

The Patriots need to build a strong offensive line around young quarterback Drake Maye and Josh Simmons is a nice option here. New England has over $90 million in cap space so they might address offensive line depth in free agency. If that’s the case, they could add an elite player on the defensive line like Mason Graham.

5. Jaguars – Will Johnson (CB, Michigan)

Jacksonville has to find defensive playmakers after forcing just 9 turnovers in 2024. Will Johnson is a long corner who has the athletic ability to match up with any receiver. He dealt with a foot injury this past season but showed he is an elite talent as he helped Michigan win a national title in 2023.

6. Raiders – Shedeur Sanders (QB, Colorado)

The Raiders might get lucky and not have to trade up for No. 1 to land their quarterback of the future. Considering the Titans and Browns have shown interest in upgrading other positions or chasing generational talents, this allows Shedeur Sanders to drop to the 6th pick for the Raiders to scoop him up. Sanders is extremely accurate and tough which would be a nice fit in Las Vegas.

7. Jets – Mason Graham (DT, Michigan)

The Jets are in quarterback limbo but they won’t have an option at No. 7. This means they address gaps on their defensive line by adding a monster like Mason Graham. He can stuff the run and is good as a pass rusher too. He will give the unit a massive boost right from the get-go.

8. Panthers – Shemar Stewart (DT/Edge, Texas A&M)

The Panthers are looking for help on the defensive line and Shemar Stewart fits that role. Carolina could add an edge rusher too but we expect them to boost the talent up front on the defensive side of the football. Stewart is versatile enough to play multiple positions which is a plus for Carolina.

9. Saints – Mykel Williams (Edge, Georgia)

The Saints struggled on both sides of the ball and ended up 5-12 with quarterback Derek Carr missing much of the season. The Saints need more talent off the edge to put pressure on the quarterback. They add edge rusher Mykel Williams from Georgia who is great at shooting his hands along with stacking blockers.

10. Bears – Josh Conerly Jr. (OT, Oregon)

The Bears have cap space and will be starting by getting more protection for Caleb Williams. They need help at every position and could address their interior offensive line in free agency along with drafting a tackle like Josh Conerly Jr. from Oregon. He’s quick and smooth at getting into position.

11. 49ers – Walter Nolen (DT, Ole Miss)

The 49ers need to add depth to the defensive line to team up with Nick Bosa to return to being one of the better teams in the league up front. They could easily go edge rusher here but they also need help on the inside and Walter Nolen gets into the backfield easily and can fight off double teams.

12. Cowboys – Ashton Jeanty (RB, Boise State)

The run game for the Cowboys was awful in 2024 and they will be looking to improve the unit. Is the 12th pick too early? That’s the big question. Ashton Jeanty is a top-5 talent in the draft and showed just how dominant he can be with 2,601 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns at Boise State in 2024. He is probably too good for the Cowboys to pass up.

13. Dolphins – Malaki Starks (S, Georgia)

The Dolphins will need to add depth everywhere in their secondary and they could add the best safety in the draft in Malaki Starks here. Starks has played all over the field at Georgia and is an extremely versatile player with a great football IQ. He has the tools to be an immediate impact player for Miami.

14. Colts – Tyler Warren (TE, Penn State)

The Colts need help on the interior offensive line but No. 14 might be too early for that. Adding a weapon on offense like Tyler Warren would go a long way for Anthony Richardson’s development. Warren is a great route runner who has good instincts which help him settle into open windows for his quarterback.

15. Falcons – Nic Scourton (Edge, Texas A&M)

The Falcons were sixth worst in the NFL in pass rush win rate. They also haven’t had a double-digit sack defender since 2016. It’s obvious they need the best available pass rusher here. Nic Scourton can get to the quarterback in a lot of different ways and is a disruptive run defender too.

16. Cardinals – James Pearce Jr. (Edge, Tennessee)

The Cardinals will be looking to boost their defensive line in the first round and they could go edge rusher or defensive tackle depending on who falls into the middle of the first round. James Pearce Jr. is a talented edge rusher and a rangy run defender.

17. Bengals – Tetoiroa McMillan (WR, Arizona)

The Bengals are likely losing Tee Higgins to free agency and will need to add a weapon for Joe Burrow. They could consider going tight end as well with a player like Colston Loveland available here too. McMillan is a huge target (6’5″) and would be a nice fit in Cincinnati.

18. Seahawks – Donovan Jackson (OG, Ohio State)

The Seahawks biggest question mark heading into 2025 is the offensive line. Recent draft picks have not performed well as Geno Smith has been beaten up over the last two seasons. Donovan Jackson is one of the top guards in the class and would be a nice addition to Seattle.

19. Buccaneers – Luther Burden III (WR, Missouri)

The Bucs need help at linebacker but Baker Mayfield is looking at a wide receiver group in 2025 that lacks depth as Chris Godwin is a free agency. Also, Mike Evans is gonna be 32. Luther Burden III has great instincts and a good burst after the catch.

20. Broncos – Colston Loveland (TE, Michigan)

The Broncos and Sean Payton would love a skilled tight end to add to the mix for young quarterback Bo Nix. Colston Loveland is a smooth route runner who gets out of his breaks quickly. He’s a big target (6’5″) and gives Bo Nix another quality option in the passing game.

21. Steelers – Benjamin Morrison (CB, Notre Dame)

Pittsburgh needs a quarterback but there isn’t anyone talented enough for them to take at No. 21. Besides that, the Steelers need to find another option in the secondary to team up with Joey Porter Jr. Benjamin Morrison is a tough and physical press corner who flashes good timing while being a solid tackler.

22. Chargers – Jalon Walker (Edge, Georgia)

The Chargers have to get better on the defensive line this offseason and they are in luck as Jalon Walker is a top-15 talent that could be available at no. 22. He’s a versatile front-seven defender with explosive speed.

23. Packers – Shavon Revel Jr. (CB, ECU)

Cornerback is high on the Packers’ list of needs as we saw Jaire Alexander deal with injuries this year and Eric Stokes is headed for free agency. While Shavon Revel Jr. is coming off an ACL injury, his tape is excellent showing great athleticism and length which helps him match up with just about anyone.

24. Vikings – Tyleik Williams (DT, Ohio State)

The Vikings need to add talent on defense and will be starting with the secondary or on the interior defensive line. Tyleik Williams is a huge interior run stuffer who locates the ball and sheds blocks to make plays on the inside.

25. Texans – Tyler Booker (OG, Alabama)

The Texans are looking receiver or interior offensive line in round 1. Tyler Booker is a big guard with plenty of size and strength to help in the run game. His work ethic is fantastic and gives a boost to the Texans on the interior as they were a mess in 2024 which was a big part of CJ Stroud’s struggles in year 2.

26. Rams – Maxwell Hairston (CB, Kentucky)

The Rams could work to re-sign Alaric Jackson at tackle which would free them up to address their secondary in the first round. Maxwell Hairston has good size (6’1″) at cornerback and is climbing up draft boards quickly.

27. Ravens – Will Campbell (OT, LSU)

If the Ravens can’t re-sign Ronnie Stanley before he hits free agency, they will be looking to get Lamar Jackson a new left tackle. Luckily, talents like Will Campbell and Kelvin Banks Jr. could be available late in the first round. Campbell is a top-15 talent with excellent size and strength.

28. Lions – Mike Green (Edge, Marshall)

The Lions will be focusing on their defensive line and edge rush in the first round after seeing how much Aidan Hutchinson and Marcus Davenport were missed due to injury. They look at the top available edge rusher here. Mike Green was great at getting after the quarterback at Marshall with 17 sacks this past season.

29. Commanders – Jared Ivey (Edge, Ole Miss)

The Commanders were run over by the Eagles in the NFC Championship which showed they need to address the edge and linebacker this offseason. Jared Ivey from Ole Miss would be a nice addition as Washington looks to build off a great season.

30. Bills – Nick Emmanwori (S, South Carolina)

The Bills have holes on defense and their secondary needs to be upgraded after being out of place too often this season. Nick Emmanwori is an excellent blend of length, range, and size. He can cover tight ends as well as wide receivers in the slot.

31. Eagles – Shemar Turner (Edge, Texas A&M)

We could see several edge rushers going in the first round and the Eagles will snag one of the first-round talents available to close the round. Shemar Turner would be nice to add to the mix but Philly could also be looking at wide receiver here.

32. Chiefs – Derrick Harmon (DT, Oregon)

The Chiefs have needs at cornerback, wide receiver, and on the defensive line. With four cornerbacks off the board in round one, they move their focus to the defensive line. Derrick Harmon locates the ball well and sheds in time to make plays. He would be a nice running mate for Chris Jones on the inside in Kansas City.
